Living in Thunder Bay we are lucky enough to have the outdoors right in our backyard. We are surrounded by so many beautiful places and smaller towns not far from us. My sister and some friends live in Sioux Lookout so I have driven there a few times. On the drive when you go through Upsala there is a beautiful old abandon church I always loved. So when Dan+Aly wanted to drive there for their engagement photos I was more then excited. I ran into Dan after not seeing him for a few years over the holidays. We were catching up and he told me how he was planning to propose to Aly. Dan and I attended Westgate together and he was one of my great friends, so obviously I was thrilled for him. It is still so crazy to me that so many people I know are now married, high school seems like yesterday. While I was in Mexico I received a text saying that he proposed and they wanted to do engagement photos. I couldn't wait. I talked to Aly more and we planned everything out. As we were driving we were not sure if we had missed it or not but we finally saw the old church. We stomped are way through the snow for some photos and champagne. I love love love these photos and am thrilled to be posting them. It was awesome getting to hang out with Dan and Aly for an almost 4 hour drive. It also gave me a chance to get to know Aly more and my conclusion is that Dan is a very lucky man. I am so happy for them both, check out some of my favourites from the day below.
Congrats Dan + Aly!!
